abstract = "In this presentation, we discuss the observation and analysis of
daytime Traveling Ionospheric Disturbances (TIDs) induced by
gravity waves (GWs) over the Andes Mountains during the 2014
winter season. These TIDs are observed from GPS/TEC at different
latitudes by detrending the total electronic content in order to
create maps and keograms. We discuss how we reverse ray trace
these TIDs in order to identify their sources. We also compare the
horizontal wavelengths, periods, phase velocities, direction of
propagation, and time of occurrence of these observed TIDs/GWs
with multi-step vertical coupling gravity waves from mountain wave
breaking as simulated by the HIAMCM (HI Altitude Mechanistic
                         general Circulation Model) model.",
